Mr. Sichtermann serves as national defense counsel and national appellate counsel for various product manufacturers; and regional defense counsel and regional tender counsel a retailer. In those capacities, Mr. Sichtermann manages and directs the nationwide defense of product liability, personal injury, and property damage litigation on behalf of his clients. He previously served as a Deputy Attorney General in the Office of the Indiana Attorney General. In that capacity he served primarily in the Criminal Appeals Division and the Office of the Indiana Solicitor General.
He has served as lead appellate counsel in over seventy cases pending in the Indiana Court of Appeals, the Indiana Supreme Court, the Illinois Court of Appeals, the Appellate Division of the New York Supreme Court, numerous federal circuit courts of appeal, and other State appellate courts as pro hac vice counsel. He was the primary author of two petitions for writs of certiorari to the Supreme Court of the United States and merits-stage briefs of amicus curie for cases pending in the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Indiana Supreme Court.
